Southeast Asia isn't waiting for AI to arrive. It's already here. AI for Asia trains the next wave of ASEAN leaders to shape how it's built, governed, and deployed across the region.

Fellows learn from industry leaders, UN officials, and policy makers through live sessions, mentorship, and a capstone project they actually ship.

Expert Mentors

Live sessions with industry leaders, UN officials, and policy makers shaping AI governance across the region.

Cohort Network

Cross-border connections with emerging leaders from 12 ASEAN nations and South Korea.

Capstone Projects

Ship real AI solutions addressing pressing challenges across Southeast Asian communities.

/ Program

Six areas of work.

The AI for Asia Fellowship isn't built around a single idea of what AI should do. Fellows work across six interconnected areas, AI literacy, policy and ethics, workforce development, research, innovation, and community, each one essential to building a future where AI works for everyone in the region, not just a few.

/ Impact

One region.
One movement.

That customer service job you interned for last summer? AI handles it now. The data entry roles your classmates applied to after graduation? Automated. The graphic design freelance gigs? Platforms like Canva AI and Adobe Firefly just cut the barrier to entry in half. 164 million workers across Southeast Asia are in jobs being disrupted by AI right now, not in 10 years. Now. This isn't about fear. It's about who gets to be on the building side of this shift instead of the receiving end. AI for Asia Fellowship 2026 is 12 weeks of learning how AI actually works, who controls it, and how to lead in a world it's reshaping. No engineering degree. No coding background. Just you, 120 fellows from 12 countries, and the drive to show up. Applications close June 20, 2026. Source: Access Partnership & Google, Future of Work in Asia-Pacific, 2024
